Miami and Fort Lauderdale are always more spectacular from the water. Nothing can give your event that absolute WOW factor, than putting your friends, family or colleagues on a smart yacht, with dinner and cocktails on hand, to cruise the beautiful protected waters around these two cities.
There is a huge selection of locally based party yachts of all shapes and sizes, with both modern and classical designs to choose from and priced according to your budget.
Have Your Event On The Water
The beauty of chartering a yacht for your S. Florida event is that we’ll handle everything for you: setting up appointments so that you can choose the perfect boat, write the contracts, make the booking, choose the menus, arrange for onboard music (DJ or bands), additional entertainment if you need it, as well as optional extras to make your event absolutely perfect for any occasion.
We can arrange spectacular Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, Birthday Parties, Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, swim parties, or simply a day out on the water with friends or family.
For corporate events, we can arrange transportation to and from the dock or pick-up location and tailor the event to your exact specification. We have an impressive client list that includes IBM, PGI, Volvo, Dow Chemical and many others.
The best boarding locations in Miami and Fort Lauderdale can be found on our main website. Itineraries are flexible and can include Star Island, Indian Creek, Key Biscayne, the Intracoastal Waterway, Port Everglades, and many other well-known and must-see places.
Choosing Your Yacht
We have a nice selection of large sailing catamarans suitable for larger groups of up to 49 guests and guests can go swimming in the clear waters of Biscayne Bay. For smaller groups of up to 12 guests who are vacationing or on a business trip in Miami, we can arrange day-cruises on smaller recreational vessels like Sea Ray express-cruisers, that are reasonably priced and can be chartered with our without food and Beverages. (BYOB)
The professional party yachts however, are like floating restaurants and have their own chef and on-board galley (kitchen) and food storage freezers and they generally do not encourage guests to cater their own food and beverages. They prefer to serve excellent quality food that is prepared fresh on board by their own galley staff.
In some cases, however, for special requirements such as Kosher or Indian food, they will allow an outside caterer to come aboard provided the vendor has appropriate insurance. A galley fee usually applies for any outside caterers.
Boat Miami can provide motor yacht or sailing trips down to the Florida Keys for long weekends or even for a week on more on-board. Guests can sleep, have breakfasts and lunches on board and take their dinners ashore in the multitude of little Keys restaurants and hideaways.
Plan Your Trip
A word of warning: the Florida Keys are deceptively close to Miami but also the distances and the sailing time to Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon and of course Key West are also deceptive. It’s a LONG way down the Keys. Key West is 150 miles from Miami which is 10 hours non-stop on a power boat traveling at a substantial 15 miles per hour. It’s usually less stressful to plan this trip over two days. If you’re on a sailing boat, it’s a three day sail to Key West..!!
The same can be said for the Bahamas, these islands too are deceptively close to Miami. However the places you really want to explore on a trip to the Bahamas are not close at all. The beautiful islands and beaches of Paradise Island, the Abaco, the Exumas, Harbour Island and the Out-Islands are all about 3 or 4 days sail from Miami.
You can of course get to Bimini or Freeport and Port Lucaya fairly easily in one day or less but these are relatively uninteresting from a yachting perspective and best approached by Ferry from Fort Lauderdale. Balearia Ferries has a daily service to these locations.
Why You Should Travel by Water
But we digress…. The point being that Miami and South Florida are ALWAYS BETTER ON THE WATER and from the water. South Florida’s clear protected sub-tropical waters offer up an incredible opportunity to experience the unbelievable vistas of the cities of Fort Lauderdale and Miami by day or evening. Frankly, the backdrop of the city of Miami by night from a yacht is nothing less than spectacular.
